Loge Pro Server

The free app for the Mac your film disk is plugged into. Once set up, it works quietly in the background.

What it does

• Scans your films and series and adds posters and descriptions.
• Plays the films to Apple TV, iPhone and iPad over your own Wi-Fi.
• Prepares what the devices cannot play on their own, such as DTS audio or old XviD files.
• Finds the intro of series so you can skip it.
• Remembers where you stopped, for every device. This is kept on the disk itself, so it moves with it.

In three steps

1. Open the download and drag Loge Pro Server into Applications.
2. Open Loge Pro Server and choose the hard drive with your films. With a large collection, the first scan can take a while.
3. Open Loge on Apple TV, iPhone or iPad. The library appears by itself.

Good to know

• The Mac needs to be on and the disk plugged in while you watch.
• Mac and devices need to be on the same home network.
• If the Mac runs a VPN, it must allow devices on your home network. In NordVPN this is called “Local network visibility”.
